Hello, I’m Gay Allen

I grew up in Alberta and came to Creston 7 years ago when I retired.  Two weeks later I was picking cherries for Harvest Share and still volunteer with them.

My Story

My passion is photography and was thrilled when a photo was selected for the Canadian wheat board calendar and another for the Creson Credit Union calendar.

 

I joined ArtSpace in the spring of 2021 having never painted before.  The larger flower paintings in oils was intimidating but now we have the floral mural on Hillside Street which is being enjoyed by Creston folk.

 

I wish I had found painting earlier.
