Hello, I’m Esme Gloster
I have lived in Creston for almost four years. We moved to Creston in 2018/2019. I was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. We came to work in Canada from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, in 2001 for one year only, and we are still here.
I have no formal art education. (Except for certified instructor courses in both Metal Embossing and Paverpol.) I am an exploring, self-taught artist. I dabble in watercolor, acrylics, and occasionally pastels. ArtSpace was my first introduction to oil painting.
I am a metal embossing artist and recently started working with Paverpol. Paverpol is a complementary medium for my metal embossing (also known as pewter art) work, although I also do stand-alone Pverpol art.
I teach workshops in metal embossing, Paverpol, and mixed media in my studio in Creston and throughout Canada, also team-building workshops. During Covid, I taught metal embossing Zoom classes to private schools throughout Canad when the USAF Medical Service Corps commissioned me to emboss their badge in pewter.
