Hello, I’m Sue Binsted
My husband Mark and I moved to Creston in January 2021 to start our retirement. We are really loving it here so far. I was pretty excited to find this ArtSpace group with a collection of very interesting people.
I wish I had an extra million dollars to buy a new ArtSpace building for us. I would make it the biggest and the best! I can dream about it!
My Story
I am glad to leave the chaos of working 5 days a week behind me. I have worked for many different oil and gas companies in Calgary. I was born and raised in BC. Goodbye alarm clock and HELLO painting. I have been painting for about 10 years now and retirement allows me to paint almost daily.
My biggest art achievement was having a gallery showing at Art Central in downtown Calgary of my larger stained glass panels. I was also part of an art collective with others artists. I like experimenting with new things to…sewing, paper mache, photography, and anything else I can get my hands on!
When I’m not painting I like cuddling with my border collies, cooking, baking and travelling. Mark and I have been very fortunate to travel very often to some pretty exotic locations. I always look forward to planning the next trip!
