Beginner Watercolour

Ute Bachinski received her education in Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art and Bachelor of Education from UBC.  She taught art in the Department of Fine Arts and Centre of Continuing Education at UBC, College of the Rockies, and at high schools in Masset, BC and Creston. She also has a long list of showings in the Kootenay area.

Teens and Adults  Maximum 20 students

A beginner's approach to watercolour, Ute provides an introduction to pigments, basic painting techniques and a brief history of watercolour.

This course will cover: colour theory, washes, transparent as opposed to impasto painting, staining colours, and fugitive colours.

Weather permitting, you may be introduced to painting outdoors and with the use of viewfinders to focus on an area.
